FAQ
SKNK is a fully on-chain GameFi protocol built for transparent, fair, and non-custodial gameplay. Every game outcome and settlement is verifiable on-chain, so players can trust how results are generated, how payouts are handled, and where funds are held at all times.
| Aspect | Traditional Platforms | SKNK Web3 platform |
|---|---|---|
| Who is the House? | A single operator controls the bankroll and takes the profits. | Anyone can be the house by providing liquidity. The edge goes to the LPs. |
| Fairness | Players must trust the operator. Outcomes are hidden behind proprietary software. | Games run on blockchain smart contracts. Outcomes are provably fair and cannot be manipulated. |
| Transparency | Odds and payouts are set by the operator, with no way for users to verify fairness. | Everything is on-chain. Odds, payouts, and all transactions are fully visible to everyone. |
| Revenue Model | The operator only earns when players lose. | Liquidity providers earn from the game's edge, while the platform takes small fees. |
| User Role | Users can only be players. | Users can be both players and liquidity providers, choosing how they want to engage |
SKNK is available as a web app that you can install on your phone like a regular app, or open in any modern browser.
SKNK is also available through our Base and Farcaster mini app integrations.
It can be played on any device with a modern browser.
No. You can sign in with your Google, Discord, Twitch, or X account to create a social wallet. If you prefer, you can also connect an injected wallet such as MetaMask.
You can also access SKNK through your Base and Farcaster mini app accounts.
SKNK is currently available on Base, Coinbase's Layer 2 network.
SKNK is built on a permissionless protocol with liquidity pools at its core. Liquidity providers (LPs) act as the decentralised 'house' for the protocol by supplying the liquidity that players bet against.
When you play a game, you are playing against the liquidity in the pool, not against other players. That means you can play at any time without waiting for an opponent, and your winnings come directly from the pool.
Player losses are distributed among liquidity providers in proportion to their share of the pool, creating a shared liquidity model where both players and LPs can participate.
SKNK is a non-custodial platform, so you always remain in control of your assets. You can connect your existing wallet or create an embedded social wallet on the platform, powered by Alchemy.
You can top up that wallet using the in-app deposit flow, or send crypto directly to your wallet address, which can be linked to a human-readable ENS-style handle resolved off-chain, such as you.sknk.
SKNK is a non-custodial platform, so you always remain in control of your assets. To withdraw from your wallet, navigate to the wallet section in the app.
Winnings must be claimed from the specific game where they were earned before they can be withdrawn.
We do not charge a platform fee for deposits and withdrawals, but the transaction will incur a standard network fee (gas fee) required by the blockchain to process the transaction.
SKNK supports ETH and standard ERC-20 tokens. If a token has an available liquidity pool on the protocol, it can be used in supported games.
SKNK does not support non-standard ERC-20 tokens, such as fee-on-transfer or rebasing tokens.
ENS stands for Ethereum Name Service. On SKNK, you may see a human-readable ENS-style handle resolved off-chain, such as you.sknk.
It makes it easier to send and receive assets and share your profile without relying on a long wallet address such as 0x4c...7e2.
Yes. Game outcomes are determined using Chainlink VRF, which makes results provably fair and transparent.
The protocol also includes a 2% house edge for liquidity providers, so while outcomes are unbiased, the odds are structured to return that edge to LPs over time.
A Verifiable Random Function (VRF) is a cryptographic proof that guarantees truly random and unbiased outcomes in our games. This provides a transparent and trustless gaming environment. You can't predict or manipulate the result, and neither can we.
Current SKNK games are listed in the Games tab in the app. Third-party games may be distributed separately.
Core protocol gameplay is luck-based, with outcomes determined by VRF. Games built on top of the platform can introduce their own mechanics, including play-to-earn, luck-based, and skill-based elements.
Yes. Join the protocol as a Liquidity Provider (LP) and earn a split of house returns & trading fees.
Anyone can build on top of the SKNK protocol and tap into the shared liquidity. Use our SKNK Starter Kit, coming soon, to quickly bootstrap an idea and earn fees from players.
